 Note

・All our swords with hand forged blade are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.

・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 20 business days to do this procedure.

・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.

・We can not send original registration card.I send the copy of it.

 

Shipping 

Process for Purchasing a Japanese Sword

① Purchase a sword on this website
② We apply for an export permit from the Agency for Cultural Affairs
③ The permit is issued approximately 1-2 months later
④ We ship the sword from Japan to your country

We will select the optimal shipping method: EMS, courier, or another carrier.
Shipping may be by air or sea freight; we will contact the purchaser to finalize the decision.
Please note that shipping may suddenly become impossible due to economic or political conditions.

Please be aware that delivery may take approximately three months from purchase, and up to six months in some cases.

We can ship Japanese swords to the following countries using EMS:

Australia/
Canada/
France/
Germany/
Hong Kong/
Philippines/
Indonesia
/Thailand


For shipments to other countries, we must contact other shipping carriers to confirm whether air transport is possible and whether shipment is feasible after undergoing appropriate customs clearance procedures. The regions to which Japanese swords can be shipped may change due to political reasons.


※Items other than Japanese swords, such as tsuba and mekuri, can be delivered in about one week. (As they do not require export permission from the Agency for Cultural Affairs)

Sword is not return accepted because of very difficult for import procedure in japan.

Our shop sells authentic antique Japanese swords crafted from tamahagane and ancient Japanese iron using traditional forging techniques, valued as works of art, crafts, and historical artifacts.

If the blade does not match the Japanese registration certificate, re-registration must be applied for, taking approximately three months total before the item becomes exportable.

Currently, Japan enforces extremely strict laws regarding items that can be treated as anti-terrorism weapons. Exporting Japanese swords requires following the appropriate procedures established by Japanese administrative agencies.

For inquiries regarding the import of Japanese swords, other antiques, or artworks, please contact your country's customs office. We cannot be held responsible for any shipping delays, shipping errors, or confiscation by shipping carriers or customs authorities in various countries. In such cases, please contact the shipping carrier or customs office directly.
